Episode 19 closes the Recapture Arc, the specific storyline this cour has been running since the season's second-half restart, not necessarily the entire Re:Zero narrative. The source material has plenty of ground left uncovered, and nothing about a 19-episode season ending means the anime itself is done for good. A Season 5 announcement, if one comes, would likely follow well after the finale airs and the dust settles on how fans and critics respond to how Ram and Emilia's threads actually resolve.
